Personally, I took piano lessons for a while.  I really didn’t enjoy it much and my parents didn’t give me a hard time about quiting.  Looking back, I wish they put up a little more resistance with letting me out of it so easily.

It wasn’t until later on in live that I realized that I love classical music, but really do not like piano music.  I’d much rather learn the violin since that is what I enjoyed listening to.

So, when it was my turn to get my kid in music lessons, I started taking violin lessons with him!
